Boiler Parts (Platen Super Heater)
Platen super heater or pendent super heater (PSH) Platen Super heaters are placed just above the goose neck. the flue gases leaving the furnace transfer heat at first to platen super heater. The super heated steam from LTSH outlet header goes to platen SH inlet header and again take sensible heat from flue gas by running throug h PSH coil. The coil of this SH are hanging type and comes in first pass (furnace side) of boiler. In a 210 MW boiler there are 29 coils having 26 loop tube with 51 mm dia and different thickness as 4.5/5.6/7.1/8.8/10 mm are used to make platen super heater. There is an arrangement between PSH and final SH called as attemperation to control the final temperature of super heated steam. all headers are lying in Top and sealed space of Boiler Furnace named as Pent House.
